City in the Land of Desert

I have set foot on a foreign land again. This time I found myself in a city in the middle of a desert they call Dubai. I thought I will never like this city because of its sultry weather but when my brother drove me around, my perception has changed. :)

The place is more progressive than the Asian cities/countries I visited before. I am amazed with building designs and I love the fact that roads are very wide.

However, I noticed that this country shouldn't be called United Arab Emirates because a lot more Indians live here. It would be more apt to call it United Indian Emirates. In Singapore, there were lots of Indian nationals there but here they pop everywhere! Maybe because of its proximity to India.

Have seen three malls in Dubai already. I have watched the dancing fountains as well. I am looking forward to the desert safari. I would love to ride a camel, try sandboarding, and watch bellydancing.

Let's see what's in store for me in this city in the desert.
