MRT vs bus

The other day we went to Orchard and going back to the house we took the bus instead of express train.

I requested to my companion that we take a double deck bus. "Bus number 65 is always a double decker," says my friend.

"Yahoo! I get to ride again in a double decker." I was beaming.

My friend can't believe my reaction.  He thought I was acting like a kid. I really wanted to ride a double deck bus to see the roadside view and it makes me feel like a tourist in the city. I remember the first time I rode a double deck bus in Isle of Man.  I wanted to go through the same feeling.  I loved the view of pasture lands, lambs, shrubs and rolling hills.  The scenery in Isle of Man was postcard perfect. I had a good view from the higher deck of the bus. It makes me want to write a poem to describe the scenery outside my window. Unfortunately, it was a short ride.

Well, I know most of what we see in Singapore are man-made but I think urban planning is really good.  The building designs are cool.  I still think that riding in a bus and seeing the roadside view is better  than looking at pitch black underpass.  Enjoy the city when you travel via bus. Get to observe people.

Traveling via MRT is fuss-free when you are working or have an appointment but when you are not press for time, go for bus.
