Grateful

I am grateful that friends from Suth days came to see me in Dagupan City to greet me on my birthday. God is good! I can see His handiwork in my daily life. I have been worrying in the past days due to increasing hair fall and I wanted to divert my mind to something else because God is faithful who promised by "His stripes I am I am already healed."

These old friends traveled from Pampanga to my city and planned it since last month. Glad to reminisce my Suth days with them. 😊

My 41st Birthday

My birthday post is one day late this year because I got hooked re-watching a Japanese TV series (Hapi Mari) last night.  I turned 41 yesterday, November 17.  I was a bit bored yesterday so I decided to take my friend's invite to go to Baguio and he treated me to a Thai lunch and a Starbucks tea after the meal.

We visited the street mural in La Trinidad which is called "Colors of Stobosa." The people painted the houses in vivid colors inspired by an attraction in Brazil. The site  was inaugurated this year. I have passed by the area several times already but never took time to have picture-taking because it is more fun to view the site with somebody.

So that's how I spent my birthday yesterday. :)

I am grateful for another year God He has given me! He is changing me continuously to become a better servant and a daughter.

I missed blogging for quite a long time as my connection speed is very slow. I can't upload pictures.  Got hospitalised three times in the past two months due to Pneumothorax. It's a condition of collapsed lung and air sorround the lung
That air if more than 10% need to be released surgically.

What I dreaded in life happened again.  I undergone minor surgery twice.
The second one was really painful that they have to administer two kinds of pain reliever. I was in extreme pain that I wish at that moment that God will let me go. Thank God the doctor took visited me early and ordered for another type of pain reliever to be injected.

No matter how painful the experience is, I thank God still for the experience. The journey is my molding process, faith and character. I will continue serving God in both good and bad times. My hospital bills was high but the good Lord provided.  He even provided a caregiver to look after me while in the hospital.

God is our Great Physician and Provider. I give Him all the glory!

Daehan, Min Gook and Manse

The Song triplets are so addictive. I keep watching their old videos in Youtube and FB fan page. My day won't be complete without checking for an update, video or photo, from an FB fan page. Sometimes I wish they are my kids or could have triplets as cute and warm as they are.

My analytical self tries to rationalize their mass appeal ;) . Their parents showered them with so much love and brought them up caring and sharing with each other.

I love seeing them eat anything their Dad prepares for them. Their laughter and smiles are infectious. I pray they grow up healthy and always happy. May their parents continue to shower love each child equally.

Here's a picture I grabbed from an FB fan page I follow. I hope to visit Korea soon and see these triplets in person.

(Been trying to upload the photo but due to weak internet connection, gets foiled)

In Everything Give Him Thanks

I had myself admitted to Villaflor Hospital last night to undergo CTT (Chest Tube Thoracostomy) procedure, a tube was inserted in my right chest to let off gas or air around/inside my right lung.  Doctors call my condition "pneumothorax".

No matter what condition I am in I will continue to praise and thank the Lord. He is our great healer. He allows situations to occur to mold our faith and character.

Can you still praise His name and raise your hands even in pain? Would you still have a grateful heart during trying times?

I do.  A christian shines in times of trouble. Even though I am weak  I am strong because this is not my battle alone. God is fighting for His children.

Fact to be told, God told some sisters to remember me in their prayers even though they're unaware of my health condition. This is called intercessory praying. The prayers of righteous ones avail so much. I feel so blessed.

I got my courage from God to get the procedure done. Thank you Father God.

Song Triplets

These triplets are adorable and you can't help but fall with their charms. Together with their Actor father, Song Ilkook, they are part of a Korean reality show "The Return of Superman".  At the age of 4, they are so warm and caring not only to each other but even to non-family members.

I have seen a lot of old episodes, these young boys never showed jealousy to each other and if they fight with each other they immediately hug n kiss.  Also, they seem to have matured fast. At 4 years old, they can be relied upon to fo little errands like buying food. Well, kudos to their dad and mom who raised them well.

On one episode, the kids helped their dad sell old stuff like bikes, clothes and toys. A mother bought one bike for 3 year old kid . The boy tried riding the bike but doesn't know how to pedal. Little Mingguk saw it and he approached the younger kid and demonstrated how to pedal.

This must be -

A Korean bug I contracted from watching too much of Korean dramas. 😁😜

Now I *ship* So Ji Sub after seeing Oh My Venus. Hahaha. After the tv series ended and finding him a very good actor, next to Lee Pil Mo, I watched next The Master's Sun, One Sunny Day, and read Dramabeans recap on Ghost/Phantom.

The Master's Sun - it is a romance comedy veiled in horror set up. I read first the recap before watching the series and it was really entertaining. As for Ghost or Phantom I could not find its videos but the storyline is also good. It is a detective/ action genre.

I hope So Ji Sub will make another series this 2016.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Happy lunar new year everyone!

Back when my grandma was still alive our family observed Chinese New Year. We keep our christmas decors up until 2nd week of February. Whenever I attempt to remove the decors after the feast of 3 kings she would tell me to just leave it until February. I didn't know anything about CNY then.

A History major housemate in college told me that my family may have chinese ancestry because both my grandparents were from western part of Pangasinan near Lingayen where chinese traders do barters. He told me that my last name is derivative of a chinese family name.So probably we do have chinese blood.

Hope this year of the monkey will be a better year for Filipino people. National election will be held this year, let's choose wisely who lead the nation next.

Gratitude

As I lay on my bed, my thoughts drift to God's goodness. I feel so grateful to the Lord for being a Great Physician and Great Provider to me. He is always true to His promises.

Whatever I am today and whatever I achieved in life I give Him thanks.

Korea in my Mind

Watching too many Korean dramas lured me to visit Korea this year to experience their culture and to witness the cherry blossom trees bloom. Who won't wax poetic with this scenery?

I got curious with their cuisine, beyond kimchi, gimbap, and samgyeopsal. I am dying to try other dishes and I want to taste their aged fermented sauces.

It's been awhile

What a wonderful weather we have these days. It's that time of the year when you can use your thick blankets and just curl up. No need for fans or aircon units. I wish that we can have this kind of weather all year long.

It's been a while since I blogged my thoughts.  Today is January 2016. I am thankful to the Lord for the protection and blessings in 2015. I look forward to another fruitful year. God is good all the time.
